you have plenty of opportunity to
identify as well as make relation ship
with foreign country for ex: recently it
was heppened in gujarat as a foreign
summit you can attend that kind of
events and make contacts, as well as you
can go to EXIM bank they also can
provide you such data.

in addition, organisations like the UK
India Business Council (www.ukibc.com)
are extremely helpful. They are normally
funded by the government and usually
operate on a membership model offering a
range of services to their members
including introduction to key contacts
within their extensive network.

Business contacts can be established
thru common theme. Introduce youself
after doing research to find the
industry, leads, trade associations,
etc.. Linkedin might provide an
idea/email. Be open and ask to the
point. Be proactive and professional.
There are many business directories, trade councils who publish the details regularly. Thomas group provides info, Finilistic is another one. Embassies/ Consulates should also have some info.

Well, the approach might be slightly
different for different countries, but
these are some of the more common ways
that I can think of:
1. Contact the Indian High Commission in that country - they would have an Economic/Commercial officer who would be able to assist
2. Contact the High Commission or the Department of Trade and Industry in that country
3. See if you can find links through Indian companies already doing business in that country
4. Get in touch with the respective chambers of commerce in both countries. Both CII and FICCI would be quite helpful
5. Visit trade fairs related to your industry/sector
